    • This test helps assess your child's readiness and needs, to ensure the best educational experience for your child's success!

Enrollment Information

Age Requirements-Early Learning Center:
We accept infants at six weeks in our program. 

Age Requirements-Preschool 3 and 4:
To align with Jefferson Parish Schools, students entering the 3-year-old class must be three years old on or before September 30th. Similarly, students entering the 4-year-old class must be four years old on or before September 30th. 

Age Requirements (Kindergarten/1st Grade):
In accordance with Jefferson Parish Schools, students entering Kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 30th, and students entering 1st grade must be six years old on or before September 30th.

Readiness Requirements:
Students entering PreK 3 must be potty trained. 

All students entering Kindergarten will undergo a readiness assessment conducted by Atonement school personnel to ensure academic and developmental readiness. 

Testing for Kindergarten through 7th Grade:
New students entering grades Kindergarten through 7th will be required to provide a copy of their previous year’s report card and most recent standardized test results. These students will also participate in a testing and screening process administered by Atonement personnel to assess academic readiness and placement.

School Dress Guidelines:
Atonement Lutheran School enforces a mandatory school uniform policy. We believe that the dress and appearance of students play an essential role in maintaining a positive and focused educational environment.

School Calendar:
Atonement aligns its school calendar with Jefferson Parish Schools, with the school year typically running from mid-August through late May.

Current Family Referrals:
We are grateful for the support of our current families and encourage referrals! If you refer a family that successfully enrolls at Atonement, you will be eligible for a $100 tuition credit. To receive the credit, a written or emailed referral must be submitted to the School Office within the first quarter of the school year.
